Looking for a spouse is not something that we should do alone. Getting the help of parents, family, or an Imam who can help us look or at least participate in a communication process is essential. That third party can help verify if the person we are interested in is pious, trustworthy, and respectful whilst ensuring we won’t be meeting alone since the Prophet SAWS said: "Whenever a man is alone with a woman, Satan is the third among them."
